"Do We Belong?" is a short documentary directed by independent filmmaker Sofian Khan and released in 2018. The film’s title was adapted from a question Sunayana Dumala raised in a lengthy Facebook post soon after the murder of her husband to hate crime, wondering if the US was still the place her husband and she hoped and dreamed of. The documentary explores her story and journey following the tragedy, with Srinivas Kuchibhotla as the film’s central presence. The documentary delves into her experiences, challenges, and advocacy work in the aftermath of the incident.

"I am the Director of Youth Engagement for the SevenDays® Kindness Youth Leadership Team in Kansas City. Having Sunayana Dumala give her presentation was one of the most impactful lessons we have presented to our high school students. The powerpoint along with Sunayana’s explanation of immigration was so informative. Giving teens the opportunity to learn background on this important issue in a factual, concise and easily digestible way is so helpful. Our team now has more information to help them combat hate in an informed, civil way. Thank you Sunayana and Forever Welcome Foundation!"
